COLLEGE STATION, Texas (FOX 44) – Three teenagers were arrested after College Station police seized a dangerous firearm thrown from a car.
The department said Saturday morning that its K9 unit stopped a vehicle near Post Oak Mall for multiple traffic violations. The station leads to Cavenders on Holleman Drive and the vehicle attempted to escape behind the building. Police also witnessed the suspect throw two guns from the vehicle.
The vehicle then stopped in front of the store, resulting in a high-risk felony stop. Three suspects are in custody and the firearm has been recovered. A probable cause search of the vehicle also turned up marijuana.

Police later confirmed that the guns, particularly the Glocks, had been modified with “switches.” These illegal devices turn handguns into fully automatic firearms, significantly increasing the danger to police officers and community members.
The arrested person, Ladarious Johnson, 18, of Bryan, was charged with possession of marijuana and was being held on $2,000 bail at the Brazos County Jail, the department said. Dutaveon Rashad Rogers, 18, of College Station, was charged with two counts of prohibited weapons and tampering with evidence and was being held on $70,000 bail at the Brazos County Jail. Another College Station man, identified as 19-year-old Brandon Turner, was charged with fleeing and interfering with public duties and was being held on $4,000 bail at the Brazos County Jail.
