A suspected drunk driver crashed into a Minnesota State Patrol car that was luckily empty Friday night in Minneapolis.
The crash reportedly occurred around 10 p.m. as a state trooper responded to a two-vehicle collision on I-94 eastbound and Franklin Avenue.
While officers were responding to the incident, a Toyota Camry struck the police car, and the collision was captured on MnDOT cameras and shared on social media by MN Crime.
The driver of the Camry, a 24-year-old St. Paul man, was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of criminal drunken driving.

A passenger in the Camry suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The state trooper was not injured.
