Harrowing new close-up video of ICE’s fatal shooting of a Minneapolis protester shows the moments that led to the final act of violence.
The nearly three-minute video, posted to AZ Intel’s X account, begins with protesters whistling to warn others of the presence of ICE officers.
A woman holds a camera and yells, “What the hell is wrong with you?” as ICE agents chase a man who appears to be holding a cell phone to record their actions.
The agents pushed another man wearing an orange backpack to the ground, then turned their attention back to the protester they were chasing and appeared to spray something in the man’s face.
“What the hell is going on, people? What the hell is wrong with you?” the woman yelled as ICE agents surrounded the target and dragged her to the ground. As ICE continued to struggle with the man, one gunshot was fired, followed by multiple more shots as officers moved away from the victim.
The woman with the camera screamed and left the scene, then returned and repeatedly shouted: “What the hell did you do?!”
The video shows the man lying motionless on his back as ICE officers retreat, some pointing guns at the victim.
Others can be heard screaming in the background as the person wearing the orange backpack runs towards the woman in the recording.
“Oh my God, oh my God! What did you just do?” the woman kept shouting as ICE agents stood over the man.
“Someone call an ambulance!” the woman yelled over and over, while another person yelled “Call 9-1-1!”
“Someone called 9-1-1! I can’t believe they did that!” the woman on the recording screams. “Oh my god, oh my god!” she yelled as she recorded a meth agent kneeling next to the victim.
“Oh my God, you fucking people! You’re gonna fucking kill us!” she yelled. “Why are you doing this?!”
An ICE officer then poked the victim in the leg, but the victim did not move.
“I can’t believe I saw this!” the woman cried as more police officers knelt around the man.
The victim was identified as 37 years old Alex Jeffrey Pretty,according to minnesota star tribune.
Late Saturday, senior Border Patrol officials Greg Bovino At a press conference, he claimed the man had a gun and meant agents meant to do harm.
“This looks like a situation where one person wanted to cause maximum damage and massacre law enforcement,” he said.
