The Pittsburgh Steelers announced two roster changes on Friday. The team cut linebacker Kana’i Mauga from the practice squad and replaced him with former Pitt long snapper Cal Adomitis. That was in response to Steelers starting long snapper Christian Kuntz showing up to Thursday’s practice report with a knee injury.
Admotis spent his first three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals as a full-time tight end. He was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles after the 2024 season and signed by the Philadelphia Eagles at the start of the 2025 season. Adomitis was Philadelphia’s long snapper through the first nine games of the season before being released a week ago. Fans were divided over the move.
If Kuntz is unable to face the Detroit Lions this week, Adomitis will be forced to rush into the role.
