Zynga’s free-to-play PvP shooter Star Wars Hunters is coming to PC. The game will launch in Early Access on Steam on January 27, 2025, the publisher announced on Tuesday. The squad-based arena shooter will undergo two playtests on Valve’s platform ahead of its Early Access release. Star Wars: Hunters launches on Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android platforms in June.
Star Wars: Hunters announced for PC
Zynga has announced that registration for the Steam game beta of Star Wars: Hunters is now open. The game will have its first Steam playtest from December 13th to 16th, while the second playtest will last from January 10th to January 13th. The game will launch in Early Access on January 27th.
“We’re officially bringing Star Wars: Hunters to PC! We can’t wait for everyone to experience the game on PC and know that this is something the community has been asking for for a long time.” The official announcement reads.
“We’re rolling out Steam Gameplay in stages to ensure your experience playing Star Wars Hunters on PC is as smooth as possible and to gather your valuable feedback before we move into Early Access. This will give you the chance to get involved early, test new features and help shape the game,” it added.
Star Wars: Hunters PC Features
The game’s Steam page is now live, listing PC system requirements and other information about the game. “The Early Access version of Star Wars: Hunters brings everything you love about the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions (Hunters, game modes, and core gameplay) to your PC,” the publisher said in the listing. Zynga added that the free game’s early access period is expected to last until at least mid-2025.

In the FAQ section, Zynga confirmed that the PC version of the game will support cross-progression, allowing players to carry over progress from mobile devices and Nintendo Switch. However, to maintain fairness, Steam Playtests will not support cross-platform or cross-processing.
Star Wars: Hunters will support cross-platform play across PC, Switch, and mobile platforms upon release. The publisher added: “While the core gameplay will be the same and won’t offer any advantages over playing the game on PC, it will include enhanced graphics, customizable controls and additional visual settings to optimize your experience.” The PC version of the game will support controller and mouse/keyboard input.
