Aaron Stogsdill, born in 1994, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and second-degree property damage, according to online court records.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident in which Stogstill left a residence armed with a bow and arrow, the probable cause statement said.
Deputies verbally ordered Storgstil to put down his bow, but he failed to comply, according to officials.
Stogsdiel placed the bow in a low ready position and attempted to draw the string toward the law enforcement officer. Shortly after the confrontation, the man placed his bow and arrows on the ground and surrounded the officers.
When deputies attempted to place hand restraints on Stogsdiel, he allegedly used force and tried to break free in an attempt to stand up. He is accused of trying to kick an officer after being notified of his arrest.
Once he was placed in the back passenger seat of the patrol car, he began banging on the doors and windows with his hands and legs. Authorities reported that during a post-mortem inspection, it was discovered that the door and window locking devices no longer functioned after the incident.
Stogsdill is being held at the Greene County Jail on $50,000 bail. He is scheduled for a bond review hearing on December 6, 2026.
