Despite Barcelona’s impressive performance, Sevilla midfielder Djibril Sou believes the Catalan side are not invincible.
Speaking to AS, Sou recalled the two teams’ meeting earlier this season, when Sevilla recorded a memorable victory.
This result continues to give the players confidence for the upcoming games.
“First leg win [Sevilla beat Barcelona 4-1 earlier in the campaign] This was one of my best moments in Seville. A home win in front of our fans was unbelievable.
“We know it’s very, very difficult because they win every home game, but for us the first leg gives us motivation to believe we can get something out of it.
“It gives us confidence that we’re capable of doing this, even though we know it’s going to be very, very difficult.”
Facing a crowded Barcelona eleven
One of the biggest threats in Barcelona’s lineup is young star Lamine Yamal, who has been widely praised for his performances this season.

However, Sowu revealed that from a midfielder’s perspective, the player who needs the most attention is actually Pedri.
“It’s very difficult. For me, Pedri is the best midfielder in La Liga and in the world.
“He controlled the whole game for Barcelona and it was very important to defend him well, like we did in the first leg.
“I thought we were almost perfect in midfield that day because we suppressed Pedri and they couldn’t play their game. Now we have to try to do it again at their home ground.”

Sauv also spoke about the challenges of facing a team coached by Hansi Flick.

The midfielder has faced Flick’s team before when playing in Germany and he knows how intense the German coach’s tactics can be.
“Yes, I played against Bayern a few times when I was in Germany and his teams always played very intensely.
“It’s very difficult to play against them because Flick’s team is flying all over the pitch. But I also think with the style of play we have, there is a chance to hurt them,” he concluded.
