Although Seattle Seahawks rookie safety Nick Emmanwari suffered a low ankle sprain in practice on Wednesday, he told reporters Thursday that he will be “ready to play” in Sunday’s Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
Ayman Worry, drafted by the Seahawks out of South Carolina in the second round of last year’s draft, has started the past 10 games for Seattle, including the playoffs.

The injury he’s suffering now is different from the sprained ankle he suffered in the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, which caused him to miss the next three games.
“Not sure how extensively, if at all, he’s going to work out,” Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Thursday, according to The Athletic.
“But he’s confident. Has a great plan. Total expectation for him to play. He’s doing a great job and moving around.”
