Rashid Shaheed, acquired at the trade deadline, returned the kickoff for a touchdown, one of the best ways to start the postseason.
As the Pacific Northwest Seismological Network (PNSN) shared on Twitter/x, Shahid’s kick return recorded seismic activity similar to Marshawn Lynch’s iconic Beastquake against the New Orleans Saints.

PNSN shared the kickoff return touchdown with Lumen Field’s field seismometer, showing Shahid’s No. 12 jersey shaking the stadium as he broke through the 49ers front on the return.
Fox 13’s Aaron Levine also shared a seismometer from the kickoff, which is further evidence that Shahid’s return to start the game sparked such an incredible reaction.

While Shahid’s play may not have been the same as Lynch’s “Beast Shock,” it elicited an incredible response from the Seahawks fans in attendance.

This return touchdown may not go down as well as the Beast Shock, in part because it happened early in the game and some fans may still be waiting to give in or have not yet made it to their seats.
But that’s why the crowd response was so impressive. From the beginning, despite the small crowd, the Seahawks fans in attendance made this kickoff one of the most memorable in NFL history.
