SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks are expected to hire San Francisco 49ers tight ends coach and game coordinator Brian Fleury as their new offensive coordinator, a person with knowledge of the hiring process said Sunday.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the deal is still ongoing.

Fleury has been a member of San Francisco’s coaching staff since 2019. He began his career as a defensive quality control coach and spent the past four seasons as the 49ers tight ends coach. In 2025, Fleury added the title of run game coordinator in addition to tight ends coach.

Fleury will replace former Seahawks offensive coordinator Clint Kubiak, who officially announced after the Super Bowl that he would be the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Kubiak will also bring Seahawks quarterbacks coach Andrew Gianoco to Las Vegas, a person with knowledge of the recruiting process said Sunday. The person spoke to The Associated Press about Janocko on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced.

With Kubiak’s position filled, Seattle will next turn its attention to addressing Janoko’s departure.

Fleury brings a longtime NFL assistant coach to the Seahawks who has been with the league since 2013. Fleury coached at Maryland, Sacred Heart and Towson before joining the Buffalo Bills in 2013 as quality control coach. Fleury was a backup quarterback at Maryland before playing four years at Towson.
