In addition to signing a few wideouts, the Indianapolis Colts also re-signed tight end Mo’Ali-Cox. Over the Cap has now released contract details and the salary cap for the 2026 season.
Alli-Cox became a free agent again in the offseason and signed another one-year contract with the team. This year’s contract is worth $2.687 million.

The deal carries a base salary of $2.5 million, of which $2 million is guaranteed. Cox also received a $187,500 signing bonus.
His 2026 salary cap hit is $1.487 million. Not exactly what we expected, but Aley-Cox would be left with $2.187 million in dead cap hit if released, and the Colts would actually lose cap space in that scenario, so he would be on the 53-man roster.
Aley Cox plays a key blocking role in the Colts’ offense. According to PFF, Cox played 70.5% of his snaps as a tackler. Of the 46 tight ends eligible in 2025, Alee Cox’s running back grade ranks 19th.

The tight end position is led by Tyler Warren, but Shane Steichen’s offense utilizes its fair share of both tight ends. Warren brings a well-rounded skill set to the position, which can be maximized when paired with a strong blocker like Alli Cox.
