The New Orleans Saints head into their Week 17 game against the Tennessee Titans with not much to see other than further confirmation that Tyler Shough is the guy.

He’s proven his worth so far, and if he can finish the 2025 season strong, the Saints can move forward with confidence in their new franchise quarterback. One of the main reasons Shaugh thrives is his connection to Chris Olave.
However, with limited practice on Friday ahead of Week 17, there were some concerns about Olave’s status against the Titans. Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.football says Saints fans can rest easy as Olave is expected to play at Tennessee this weekend.
Saints get good news about Chris Olave in Week 17
“I was told that Chris Olave (defender) was restricted in training only as a precaution,” Underhill reported. “He’s expected to be at full strength on Sunday.”

The Saints will lose Alvin Kamara, but Olaf, another of their top offensive players, will likely suit up against the Titans.
Olaf is seeking a contract extension in hopes of finishing the year strong. While he has a close relationship with Shough, ending the year on a high note would be a great way to end his fourth season in the NFL.
The 25-year-old was limited in training on Friday due to a back injury. This is not expected to prevent him from playing as Olaf is still expected to play for the Saints.

So far this season, Olave has caught 92 passes for 1,044 yards and eight touchdowns. He was one of the most overlooked players at the Pro Bowl and one of the worst, and he can further prove that with his stellar performance in Week 17.
He had his best game of the year against the New York Jets, catching 10 of 16 targets for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite limited practices later this week, the Saints wide receivers will likely suit up against the Titans defense in New Orleans.
