The first photo showed Wilson smiling as he lay with Naomi at his side, while the second showed Naomi cuddling another Dalmatian, Prince, the family’s late dog who Wilson previously described as Naomi’s “soulmate.”

“Our lovely Naomi,” Wilson wrote in the caption. “Thank you for 12 years of hugs, kisses and loyalty. You brought so much love to our family and gave us so many happy memories.”

The father-to-be and husband, who have Sienna Princess, 8, Win Harrison, 5, Amora Princess, 1, and adopted son Future Zahir, 11, with his wife Ciara, continued: “You are now back in doggy heaven with your soulmate Prince! We love you forever ❤️”

This time last year, Wilson posted a similar post for Naomi’s brother, Prince, who died after a long battle with cancer.

On Instagram in January 2025, Wilson posted a photo of Prince and the couple, recalling receiving the puppies during his first year of professional football, calling Prince “a blessing to our family and bringing so many memories with our 4 kids with hugs and kisses.”

The touching tribute continued: “You will always be a part of us. Today was a difficult day. But you beat cancer twice and lived 12 years when most people only live 6. Heaven got a good man! Prince of Peace Forever. Love you.”

In May 2019, Wilson opened up about Naomi and Prince being a big part of the couple’s life in an interview with People magazine. The Banfield Foundation’s “Safer” initiative aims to provide more resources to pet owners who have experienced abuse.

“The great Dane just wants to lie in your lap all the time,” the football star said at the time. “Ciara and I were going on a date night to watch a movie and all of a sudden there were three great Danes laying in our laps.”

Naomi and Prince aren’t the first pets the couple has said goodbye to.

When Ciara introduced the family’s new puppy, Bronco (nicknamed “Bronco Love Brownie” by her kids) to the world in May 2022, the proud mom recalled her late dog Tyson and the “bittersweetness” of having a new dog in the family.

“So sad to lose Tyson. I had him for almost 17 years,” she wrote alongside a photo of Tyson lying on her belly at the time. “He will always be in our hearts.”
