February 14th Lasagna Dinner Set
DOVER – Dover First Christian Church, 3029 N. Wooster Ave., will host a lasagna dinner at the church on Feb. 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is the donation. Pasta can also be ordered. Available for takeout. Proceeds will support a mission trip later this year to Austria’s Haus Edelweiss, a school that trains Christian pastors in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Fundraiser
DENISON — Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio will host a “Charity Cheers” event on Feb. 21 to support local youth mentoring programs. The event will be held at the Italian American Club, 503 Grant Street, and will include dinner, a cash bar, various raffles and a progressive euchre tournament. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The euchre tournament will begin at 7 p.m. Euchre entries include solo participation in progressive tournaments. Hike at the Norma Johnson Center
DOVER – TuscParks will host a walking tour from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 14 at the Norma Johnson Center. The welcome desk is located at 3645 Conservation Drive. GNADENHUTTEN – Gnadenhutten Moravian Church, 126 Walnut St., will be offering a Swiss steak dinner for dine-in or takeout on February 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 to reserve, call the church at 740-254-4374 or ask a church member. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door.
Scrap Cloth Art Contest
NEW PHILADELPHIA — Beginning Feb. 16, the Scrap Fabric Challenge sponsored by the Tuscarawas County Public Library System is recruiting contestants, allowing professional and amateur artists of all ages to create their own designs using mystery bag materials available at the main library. Mystery bags are available on a first come, first served basis. Entries must be returned for display by 5pm on March 13th. Community members will vote for their favorites March 16-27. New Philadelphia – Kent State University Performing Arts Center – Tuscarawas 330 University Dr. NE will present the Tuscarawas Philharmonic Orchestra concert “From the Heart: 90 Years of Serenade” on February 14 at 7:30 p.m. The Human Chorus will perform on February 22 at 7:30 p.m.

● The Tuscarawas Valley Civil War Roundtable will be held on February 12 at 6:30 pm at the Dover Public Library. The keynote speaker is living historian Chris Hart, who will introduce “Mr. Lincoln’s White House.”
● The Conotton Valley School Board will meet at the Rocket Center on February 18 at 7 p.m.
