Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro has slammed political commentator Piers Morgan for giving what he calls “America haters” a platform on his show, calling the right-wing Briton the “Jerry Springer of political TV” in his own YouTube series on Wednesday.
The Daily Telegraph co-founder was furious at Morgan’s Tuesday edition of Piers Morgan Uncensored, in which comedian-turned-commentator Dave Smith lashed out at joint US-Israeli attacks on Iran and called the US “arguably the world’s worst terrorist organization” because of its military operations that have killed many civilians over the past 25 years.
Accusing Morgan of “making a mockery of an entire industry by putting on the screen all the scum that still wants to be on the screen,” Shapiro compared the Brit to notorious tabloid talk show host Springer before blasting Smith as humorless and ignorant of foreign policy.

Shapiro, a staunch defender of Israel and its allies with the United States, emotionally told the audience: “I’m sorry, but if you say the United States is the worst terrorist organization in the world, you hate this country. That’s what you do.”
“To make that argument, you have to deliberately gloss over the difference between real terrorists, who are actually deliberately seeking to kill innocent people in the name of politics, as opposed to collateral damage, and nation-states, who are typically seeking to avoid civilian casualties when fighting those real terrorists,” he continued.
Shapiro then speculated that Smith might be excited about being mentioned by him, calling the idea of debating “trolls” a waste of time.

Hours after Shapiro’s criticism was published, Morgan responded in a Thursday morning post on X.
“If people are wondering why @benshapiro suddenly turned on me, this might explain it…” he said while retweeting a video from the show in January. “This guy just can’t accept anyone criticizing the Israeli government.”
Before their apparent falling out, Shapiro had appeared on Morgan’s show several times, including participating in the 2025 debate on Israel and Palestine.
