Pearsall was a limited participant three days this week before earning the questionable tag. He suffered the injury on his first play in Week 15 when he took a hip tackle. He was DNP all three days in Week 16 before being ruled out Saturday. However, he has also been dealing with knee issues, especially for much of the season. He suffered a PCL strain that sidelined him for six weeks midway through the season.

Fantasy Football Analysis

It’s been an up-and-down year for a healthy Pearsall. He started the season four games, missed six consecutive games, and then played four more games. In his most recent game in Week 15, he caught six passes for 96 yards. In the previous three games, he caught five passes for a total of 20 yards. He had over 100 yards receiving in Weeks 1 and 3 before suffering a mid-season injury.

Pearsall is boom or bust, but even the boom value is primarily in PPR leagues. In PPR leagues, he’s a flex player with WR upside, but if everything goes well, he may not have some WR3 upside. There are some interesting benefits if Pearsall participates and Kittle doesn’t, but if you can’t afford the lower floor options, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.
