MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into 27-year-old Christopher Hubbell, but no arrests have been made.
The Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that every piece of information “is being followed up, taken seriously, and handled with caution.” Hubbell was shot to death Nov. 23 in the 62650 block of LaSalle Road.
MCSO said while there aren’t many updates on the investigation, Montrose Area Crime Stoppers is currently offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. The previous reward was $1,000.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 970-249-8500, use the P3 Tips app or visit P3Tips.com. Reporters will remain anonymous.
“We are looking for anyone with first-hand, direct knowledge of this incident, anyone who was at the scene when the shooting occurred, and anyone who may have information identifying the suspects involved,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “… Justice often doesn’t come quickly, but it does respond to persistence, and the Montrose County community has experienced that a lot.”
Another person was injured in the incident but has since been released from hospital.
