Rittenberg noted that during his college coaching career, Partridge coached standout defensive linemen including J.J. Watt, Kaliyah Cancey and Trey Flowers.
Partridge was hired by the Colts in January 2024 to serve on Gus Bradley’s staff. He has spent two seasons with the team after being retained by current defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.
Prior to joining the Colts, Partridge served as co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 2018 to 2023.
He served as the head coach at Florida Atlantic from 2014 to 2016 and served as the assistant head coach at Arkansas in 2013.
The Colts’ run defense has been outstanding this season, ranking third in yards per carry. However, the front four, especially the defensive ends, have struggled to generate a consistent pass rush this season.
