The 2025 ACC Jacobs Blocking Trophy is awarded to Francis Mauigoa, an All-Star at the University of Miami who was named first-team All-ACC after being named to the 2024 All-ACC Second Team. The Ravens have a huge need at the offensive guard position, and the team prefers to restructure in the NFL Draft and bypass free agency unless a major shift occurs. Baltimore needs edge rushers, wide receivers and offensive backs, and one of the best players in the draft could fall to Eric DeCosta.

Maui Goa interviewed with potential teams during the NFL combine and made it clear he was open to a position switch in the NFL.

“They all talked to me about, like, how would I feel if I moved to guard? And (every meeting) it’s the same,” Maugoa said.

“Like I told everyone, there are five spots. I’m going to make sure I take one of them,” he said. “I mean, I play right tackle. It would be cool if I stayed at tackle, but if guard is how I come into the game, I’m going to go all in.”

Maui Goa started 42 games at offensive tackle for the Hurricanes, but any doubts about his athleticism could leave one of the best players in the country to fill a huge void in Baltimore head coach Jesse Minter. In an effort to put his best foot forward last spring, Mauigoa asked Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal to give him some reps at linebacker drills last season as a way to prepare for a potential transfer to the next level.
