Random Ramsdom: Should they put Puka at cornerback?

Today is hump day, let’s have some fun, what I think is a fun topic is: Should the Los Angeles Rams move Pukanacua to cornerback?

If you watched last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers, you saw Matthew Stafford nearly throw his second interception of the day before Nakua knocked the ball away from the defensive back.

The pass was originally intended for Nacua, but when he saw his defender had a better opportunity to pass the ball than he did, he took action, potentially saving the game and Los Angeles’ season.

“With less than 12 minutes left in the game and trailing 24-20, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford passed Nacua on his third pass into the end zone, sending the ball straight into the arms of Panthers safety Nick Scott. It would have been Stafford’s second interception of the game and a momentum-changing fumble. But Nacua made a defensive play and knocked the ball out of Scott’s hands in a play that may have saved the game and the Rams’ season.”

No, that’s not going to happen, but Nakua is probably the best receiver and cornerback on their roster. Who knows?

Former NFL quarterback Alex Smith didn’t hesitate when asked to evaluate the Los Angeles Rams’ playoff matchup with the Chicago Bears. Appears Up & Adams with Kay AdamsSmith offered a blunt assessment of the situation – painting Los Angeles as a dangerous playoff opponent capable of overwhelming Chicago even under less than ideal conditions.

“I tried to look at this game from an unbiased perspective. The Rams were playing on the road in Chicago and it was very cold.

Do the Bears still have their magic? We will see. Our DL should be able to reach Caleb. I watched a lot of Caleb’s games at USC and now in Chicago. If we let him come out of the pocket and make plays with his feet, he’s going to find the open guy because our coverage will eventually get broken down. He runs, but most of the time he looks to pass. If we apply pressure, I know he’s going to end up making some game-changing mistakes.

Getting Dotson back would be huge. Hopefully Adams and Lake have shaken off the rust after last week. Have fun with Corum & Kyren. Both should get about 10-15 carries. Hopefully we can get Ferg back and use more 13 guys. At this point, I believe our offense needs a TD when trailing by 4 points, not a FG when trailing by 3 points. My gut says the Rams win 33-30. I know McVay will have the team ready to play, cold or not.

It’s time to turn Soldier Field into a petting zoo. Go Rams! ” -ram chop
