PS Plus Game Catalog for September Includes The Plucky Squire, Night in the Woods, Chernobylite and More

Sony has announced the list of games that will be added to the PlayStation Plus game catalog in September. The lineup is headed by The Plucky Squire, an action-adventure platformer where storybook characters explore the world beyond its pages. The game launches on PS Plus on day one and is free to play for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members. Other games added to the game catalog this month include indie adventure game Night in the Woods, survival horror shooter Chernobyl, ocean adventure game Under the Waves, and more. These games will be added to the PS Plus game catalog on September 17th.

The PlayStation parent company also announced PS VR2 games and classic catalog products for PS Plus Premium subscribers. The Game Catalog games follow the earlier confirmation of free monthly PS Plus games for September. These include Quidditch Champions, MLB the Show 24 and Little Nightmares 2 – games currently available to PS Plus subscribers of all levels.

PS Plus game catalog titles for September

September’s lineup features day one release title The Brave Squire. This cute, colorful action-adventure platformer tells the story of Jot, a storybook hero who discovers a three-dimensional world beyond the pages. The game switches between 2D and 3D worlds, and jumping out of the page brings new challenges and new perspectives. Choate must brave the outside world and restore the true happy ending in the storybook by confronting the story’s villain, Hem. As players write their heroes’ destiny, there are puzzles to solve and challenges to complete. “The Brave Squire” is coming to PS5.

“Night in the Woods” tells the story of Mae Borowski, who recently dropped out of college and returns to her hometown of Possum Springs only to discover that something is amiss. Oh, and the residents of the town are all humans in animal form. Mei joins forces with her childhood best friend Bea and sets out to discover the town’s dark secrets. During her journey, she meets old friends, explores the town, and uncovers the dark cloud of mystery hanging over Possum Springs. The game will be released on PS4 and PS5.

“Under The Waves” is a narrative adventure game with a deep-sea diving theme. It was also added to the PS Plus game catalog this month. The game tells a story of trauma and grief, with protagonist Stanley, a professional diver who, after experiencing a traumatic event in his life, finds a job in the Atlantic Ocean. Along with his robot companion, Stanley explores the vast ocean and comes to terms with grief, while also uncovering secrets about the nature of his job. The game is playable on PS4 and PS5.

“Chernobyl” was developed by The Farm 51 and is set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The player plays a physicist looking for his missing wife in the radioactive area. Explore off-limits areas and stock up on life-saving supplies as you face supernatural threats and hostile military presence. Players can craft weapons and gear, search for clues, and make key decisions that shape the story. Chernobyl is coming to PS4 and PS5.

PS Plus Classic Catalog, PS VR2 Games

PS VR2 and Classic catalog launches this month include Pistol Whip (PS VR2), Secret Agent Clank (PS4, PS5), Sky Gunner (PS4, PS5), and Mister Mosquito (PS4, PS5). These games will be available to Premium/Deluxe tier PS Plus members.

All PS Plus game catalogs, classic catalogs, and PS VR2 games will be available starting September 17th. The PlayStation Plus Extra tier starts at Rs. 749 per month in India, while the luxury plan starts at Rs 749. 849 per month.
