Brigham Young University star football player Parker Kingston told St. George police detectives that “all sexual intercourse” with a 20-year-old woman who accused him of rape on the night of Feb. 23, 2025, was consensual, according to a probable cause affidavit unsealed Thursday in Washington County’s 5th District Court.
Kingston, 21, was being held Tuesday in the Washington County Jail without bail after being arrested on a first-degree felony rape charge. A first court appearance is scheduled for Friday in St. George, where Judge Jay Winward has been assigned to the case.

According to a news release issued Wednesday night by Washington County Prosecutor Jerry D. Jaeger, the rape allegation followed an investigation that began in February 2025 “when the alleged victim, a then 20-year-old female, reported a sexual assault to officials at St. George Regional Hospital.”
On Thursday, Winward ordered the case documents, which include a probable cause statement, unsealed and withdrew the arrest warrant for Kingston now that the defendant is in jail.
The documents have been sealed because Kingston is considered a flight risk, according to court documents.
The probable cause statement, written and signed by St. George Police Detective Cody Layton, reads:

On February 27, 2025, “A 20-year-old female AM contacted officials at St. George Regional Hospital to report a sexual assault.”
-
On June 3, 2025, the woman “met with a forensic interviewer at the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office… and revealed that during their online exchanges, she told Kingston multiple times that she did not want to have sex with him and that if that was the reason he wanted to meet, he should not come. AM revealed that she set clear boundaries with Kingston before meeting.”
-
The woman “revealed that Kingston arrived at her residence in the early morning hours of February 23, 2025, and they watched a movie together. While watching the movie, they began engaging in some sexual activity, but it did not include sexual intercourse.”
-
“After the sexual activity ended, AM revealed that Kingston began to fall asleep, so she left the room to prepare for bed. When she returned approximately 15 minutes later, Kingston began sexual activity again. AM stated that she told Kingston to stop multiple times and attempted to push him off of her.”
-
AM revealed that Kingston “raped her,” according to the probable cause statement.
Detectives concluded the following as to probable cause:
“During the defendant’s interview, he claimed that all sexual activity with AM was consensual. Based on communications obtained from Kingston’s mobile phone after the incident, it can be inferred that he went to her apartment with the intention of engaging in sexual activity.
“I believe it is necessary to issue a warrant in this matter in order for the defendant to be found and charged in this case.”

Kingston posted on social media last month that he expected to return for his senior season at BYU, which went 11-2 last season and defeated Georgia Tech in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Kingston caught 67 passes for 928 yards and five touchdowns in 2025 and is expected to be BYU’s top receiver in 2026.
On Wednesday, BYU Athletics released the following statement:
“BYU learned today of the arrest of Parker Kingston. The university takes any allegations very seriously and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and practices against students, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.”
On Thursday morning, the St. George Police Department Records Division said it could not immediately release the police report on the incident and asked for additional time to process a GRAMA request from the Deseret News.
