The Carolina Hurricanes scored three power-play goals to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1 on Sunday afternoon in the Steel City.
The Canes controlled the puck for much of the game and held the Pens to a measly 12 shots on goal until the Pens finally found some offense and changed direction in the 5th minute.

Sebastian Aho’s power-play goal opened the scoring for the Canes just 47 seconds into the game. While Carolina had other chances in the period, they didn’t score again until Nikolaj Ehlers scored again six minutes into the second period.
Ehlers had another great game and contributed in many areas.
Three minutes later, Jalen Chatfield’s shot found the back of the net, making the score 3-0.
Ehlers found Seth Jarvis in front of the net on another power play and fired in from close range to give Carolina a 4-0 lead by the end of the second period.

Anderson has now won his last five starts and allowed just one goal on 19 shots.
This was Aho’s 25th goal, marking his eighth season with more than 25 goals. This is a new franchise record.
