Argentine police raided the headquarters of the country’s national football association and more than 30 football clubs on Tuesday, according to police sources who spoke to CNN.
Federal Judge Luis Armela ordered the raid as part of an investigation into alleged money laundering by financial company Sur Finanzas, one of the main sponsors of Argentina’s soccer governing body, sources said.

Sur Finanzas said in a statement last week that all services it provides comply with current regulations and called the accusations “baseless”.
Video captured by CNN and TN affiliates on Tuesday showed uniformed federal police entering and exiting the Argentina Football Federation building in Buenos Aires.
CNN reached out to the AFA for comment and is still awaiting a response.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
