The second round of the 2025-2026 College Football Playoff is quickly approaching, and it’s time to sift through each team and focus on who could be a potential target for the Green Bay Packers in the 2026 NFL Draft.

During the 2025 NFL Draft, the Packers selected three players for the 2024-2025 College Football Playoff. Brian Gutekunst selected two Texas Longhorns and a Georgia Bulldog.

Can Gutekunst target any Texas Tech Raiders in April? The Buckeyes are the No. 4 seed and will face Oregon on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Lee Hunter, DT

Hunter, a transfer from UCF, has the natural length to clog up the running lanes. Texas Tech’s defensive tackle is more than just a traffic cone; he’s an active presence on the floor. He has strong hands to shed blockers and get them to the ball carrier. Hunter enters the playoffs with 8.5 tackles, 2 sacks, 26 pressures and 18 run breaks. The Red Raiders have the No. 1 run defense, and Hunter plays a vital role in their success.

Bryce Pollock, CB

The Mississippi State transfer recorded five interceptions and six pass deflections. He is the definition of lockdown. He is a physical cornerback with natural ball skills and excellent reflexes. Pollock is a fluid athlete, capable of bouncing in any direction in an instant. If Pollock declares for the 2026 NFL Draft, he could be a potential Day 2 or early Day 3 target for the Packers as they look for cornerback help.

AJ Holmes, DT

Holmes has been rock solid all season for the Red Raiders. He’s not as big as Hunter (330 pounds), but he has played an integral role in Texas Tech’s success in offloading the running back offense. His offensive points are solid and he controls his gaps well. The Houston transfer enters the postseason with nine tackles, 4.5 sacks, 35 pressures and 20 run breaks.

Jacob Rodriguez, LB

Rodriguez began his college career on the East Coast at the University of Virginia, where he played offense before transferring to Texas Tech and switching to linebacker. He’s an instinctive defender who always seems to be around the pigskin and making impactful plays. Entering the playoffs, he had 11 tackles, one sack, four interceptions, six pass deflections, seven forced fumbles and 64 sacks.

Terrence Carter Jr., TE

Carter won’t take any prisoners as runners. He won’t be drafted for his running ability. However, he is an impressive blocker on the move and struggles to stay engaged. He is an impressive athlete in space and has gained 344 yards after the catch this season.

Sheridan Wilson, C

Wilson started 26 games for the Red Raiders over the past two seasons and gave up 0 sacks and 15 pressures. Wilson could be a potential Day 3 target for the Packers if he chooses to enter the NFL Draft.
