Piers Morgan Says UK Prime Minister Is ‘Dead Man Walking’ After Former Prince Andrew Arrest Over Epstein

Piers Morgan says British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is “a walking political dead man” following Thursday’s arrest of former Prince Andrew over the Epstein dossier and the resignation of several politicians for the same reason.

Speaking on Fox News on Thursday morning, Morgan said the former royal’s arrest was an “absolute bombshell” but “not entirely surprising” given the tone of King Charles III’s statement last week, in which he said police would have the full cooperation of the royal family. Morgan later speculated that the arrest could be an “existential threat to the monarchy itself.”

So the “Fox & Friends” host wonders what this means for the rest of the government, now that people like Ambassador Peter Mandelson and the chief of staff who recommended him are now out of work because of their ties to Epstein. Specifically, they want to know whether Prime Minister Starmer will remain in office or whether he has lost goodwill.

“Yeah, I think he’s a political deadbeat,” Morgan said. “It all revolves around what happened to Lord Mandelson.”

Morgan explained Starmer’s timeline for appointing Mandelson, noting that Starmer admitted he was aware of Mandelson’s relationship with Epstein when he appointed Mandelson, although Mandelson said he cut ties with Epstein after he was convicted of sex crimes.

“So, I think Starmer is in serious trouble,” Morgan said. “I would be surprised if he is still Prime Minister in two or three months’ time. We have local elections in May. Labor will probably suffer an absolute crushing defeat then. I think that will be a turning point for Starmer.”
