With the Toronto Maple Leafs delaying the start of Tuesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins to 4 p.m. for the Next Generation Kids Game, many impressionable kids may get to witness what they might be playing hockey on themselves.

Shocking turnovers by the Penguins (15-12-9) led to three breakaway goals, though Toronto (16-15-5) was only slightly better, beating the Penguins 6-3 on Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena.
The Penguins’ final gaffe belonged to defenseman Brett Kulak, who was tipped over by Toronto forward Max Domi at 11:35 of the third period for a short-lived breakaway goal that won the game.
The Penguins, coming off an eight-game losing streak, are battling the specter of disappointment against a team that has given them some of the worst headlines over the past few seasons.
The Penguins’ second period certainly earned some bad headlines as they inexplicably missed good shots and produced one of the ugliest goals of the season. Or ten years.
