A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck.
Cheshire Police said the incident happened shortly after 03:00 GMT on Sunday on the A534 Wheelock Bypass between Wheelock and Crewe.
Police added that a 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin were being assisted.
Sergeant Russell Sim said: “We are grateful that this incident occurred in the early hours of the morning but we are asking any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to contact us so we can establish the full circumstances.”

He added: “The same is true for anyone who may have been traveling in the area at the time of the collision and captured any relevant dashcam footage.”
