Pedersen, Hill fuel C-Falls comeback against Browning

Feb. 14—COLUMBIA FALLS — Bjorn Pedersen scored 16 points and Jory Hill scored 15 as Columbia Falls defeated Browning 50-38 on Thursday in Northwest A men’s basketball action. Ethan Brooks scored 8 points for the Wildcats, who trailed 33-27 with 1 minute left in the third quarter, but Pederson’s field goal with 6:45 left gave the Wildcats a 34-33 lead for good. Hill’s fast-break basket made the score 36-33, and Columbia Falls (12-4 overall, 8-2 Northwest A) made 10 consecutive free throws, of which Hill made eight. Royce Mad Plume scored 10 points to lead Browning (9-7, 6-4). Sisson hit all 3-pointers in the Bulldogs’ 22-10 first-quarter blitz (6-9 overall, 2-7 Northwest A). Leo Bungener scored 12 points off the bench and Aiden Rickets hit two 3-pointers for Whitefish.
