The Boston Celtics may not have a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, but for the most part, things are going well for the team right now. With Jayson Tatum back, expectations are high for the Celtics, and there’s reason to believe they can be the last team left in the Eastern Conference.

Despite Boston’s tremendous success in recent years, the team has remained overlooked, with fans constantly pitting Tatum and co-star Jaylen Brown against each other. However, Team C continues to find ways to win. If you ask franchise legend Paul Pierce, he thinks the NBA community is just “jealous” of the Celtics’ continued success.
“I feel like Boston players are largely underserved,” Pierce said, according to CelticsBlog’s Noah Dalzell. “Obviously, Brown didn’t get to play in the Olympics, Tatum didn’t get playing time. I’ve been advocating and pushing for them and fighting for them…I would be jealous! We have it all. We have the most championships — probably the best sports city in the country.”
Even outside of the Celtics, the Boston area always seems to find a way to win. The Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins are almost always playoff contenders, and the New England Patriots just made a surprise appearance in the Super Bowl. Add in the fact that the Celtics are a contender for the Finals every year, and fans will quickly get tired of hearing about Boston.
Unfortunately for the haters in the area, these teams will remain competitive for years to come, especially the Celtics, who are well ahead of schedule now that Tatum has found his way back to the court. The Celtics are back in action Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
