WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman has reportedly earmarked another young star for a spot on The Vision, with a new report revealing the man behind the mask that interfered with the main event of Survivor Series: WarGames.
During the men’s WarGames match, a masked figure climbed the structure and superkicked and stomped CM Punk. While initial impressions were that the man was Seth Rollins – who is currently sidelined with an injury – a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed that the man under the mask was Austin Theory. Heyman formed The Vision faction and he was keen to bring the former WWE United States Champion into the faction to help him grow while also dominating the competition and protecting the faction’s other two members, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

The report highlights that Theory was originally scheduled to make an appearance at WarGames, but plans changed after Jacob Fatu was injured. Fatu’s injury meant Cody Rhodes had to play his part in a team that also included Roman Reigns, The Uso Brothers and CM Punk, with Rhodes being in a team that WWE chose to pair him with Drew McIntyre, with whom he is currently feuding. While Theory is a hooded figure, the report claims that WWE may change the man’s identity, even stating that if the story extends to January, Chris Jericho could reportedly join WWE soon and could also be revealed as a hooded figure. The Fozzy singer’s contract with AEW is reportedly set to expire at the end of this month.
However, a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter clarified that the hooded man is not Seth Rollins, who is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury. Many initially believed that Rollins aided Blake and company in the match, as the hooded figure used several of Rollins’ signature moves, and his fake injury earlier this year also added to suspicions.
