As free agency approaches, the New England Patriots are targeting a big trade. Rumors are growing that they are being linked to Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown, and it sounds like the talented pass catcher could be on his way out in the coming days.

Whether the Pats will be the team to sign him is unknown, but it sounds like talks between the two sides are heating up. While there are conflicting reports as to whether any official offers were actually made to Brown, new rumors suggest that New England offered Brown first- and third-round picks, but the Eagles rejected them.
“They’ve made an offer to AJ,” Anthony Gargano said on “The Anthony Gargano Show.” “It’s about (a first-round pick) and a (third-round pick) … I’m not sure if (the first-round pick) is this year or next year, but I heard … Howie (Rosman) said no.”
Philadelphia hasn’t been shy about letting teams know it won’t move Brown unless it gets what it wants. Other reports indicate the team is seeking a first- and second-round pick, in addition to a player, in exchange for Brown.
As things stand, the price seems too high for NE, which is completely understandable. If the Eagles do want to trade Brown, though, they may have to do so before free agency approaches, which could force them to lower their asking price to help facilitate a trade with the Patriots or any other team interested in acquiring him.
