Packers vs. Vikings: Who’s in, who’s out for Week 18?

The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings will announce their inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff on Sunday, around 10:30 a.m. CT. This article will be updated as more information becomes available regarding player availability and official Game Day inactivity for Week 18 is announced.

The Packers clinched the seventh seed in the NFC playoffs and plan to rest several key starters. Coupled with an injury-riddled roster, the Packers need to make 23 individual moves this week, including claiming two veterans off waivers and signing six players from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. There are a lot of changes and adjustments that need to be made in order to field a 48-man game-day roster for the final game of the regular season.

Who will play for the Packers on Sunday? What is certain is that quarterback Jordan Love, running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinnie are not expected to play in Sunday’s game. But Matt LaFleur’s team will have a tricky situation to deal with and hope there aren’t any significant injuries before next week’s playoff opener.

Who’s out for the Packers?

The Packers ruled out linebacker Donovan Jennings and receiver Savion Williams on their final injury report, both of whom were placed on injured reserve Saturday. Linebacker Nick Niemann and linebacker John Williams, who are both expected to return, are also out. In addition to Jennings and Williams, the Packers placed cornerbacks Kamal Harden and Nate Hobbs, defensive lineman Jordan Riley and safety Zahn Anderson on injured reserve this week. Several starters could be out Sunday morning.

Who else is battling injuries for the Packers?

Wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks missed practice this week due to a concussion and is doubtful for the game. Right tackle Zach Tom is questionable with a knee injury that has forced him to miss the past two games. Quarterback Malik Willis is questionable with injuries to his throwing arm (shoulder) and leg (hamstring).

Vikings Who’s Out?

The Vikings ruled out former Packers running back Aaron Jones, starting tight end TJ Hockenson and rookie returner Myles Price on the final injury report.

Who will be the quarterback for the Packers and Vikings?

The Packers will start Clayton Thune, who was signed from the practice squad this week. Jordan Love, who came through concussion protocol on Thursday, is expected to be the backup behind Thune while Malik Willis battles shoulder and hamstring injuries. The Vikings will start JJ McCarthy, who returns after missing last week with a right-hand injury.
