Despite Malik Willis’ best efforts on the other side of the ball, the Green Bay Packers suffered an injury on the ground against Derrick Henry in their loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night.
Willis started in place of Jordan Love and performed well at quarterback. In professional football, good performance in this position usually means victory. But the Packers’ run defense could only be described as “elite,” and Matt LaFleur’s unit couldn’t survive Henry’s onslaught.

Cooper missed two tackles and was 0-for-4 as a blitz man to create pressure, but he was efficient defensively. Enagbal faces three pressures. Nixon struggled as a tackle, but ultimately allowed just 16 yards on four targets, and he broke his third into the end zone.
Bottom 5 offense
Banks had two pressures, two free throws and 44.3 runs scored. Ryan put pressure on twice and received a penalty, but missed the shot resulting in a turnover. Walker gave up three pressures and allowed 44.1 runs scored. Jacobs rushed four times for three yards and added pressure on his only pass protection snap. Musgrave played 14 passes but had no targets.

Walker struggled against the run (42.6 ppg) and coverage (36.4 ppg), and his individual performance was nearly disastrous. Bohanna struggled at tackle in 13 snaps in run defense. McDuffie missed a tackle and made two defensive tackles. Valentine allowed a touchdown pass to Zay Flowers on third down, was not a factor against the run, and continued to struggle as a tackle. Brinson missed one tackle and had a defensive rating of 47.4.
special teams
Isaiah McDuffie, Nate Hobbs and Zahn Anderson had tackles on the opening kickoff. The Packers didn’t punt, so there was no need for Daniel Whelan. Brandon McManus made his only field goal attempt (his seventh from 40 yards or less in the past three weeks) and scored all three points.

Malik Willis: 95.6 Clayton Tunes: 38.0

Willis did a great job with the live viewing and PFF color grading. His 95.6 points were a career high. He completed 11-of-13 passes for 170 yards and a clean pocket touchdown and went 7-of-8 for 118 yards under pressure. He finished with two big throws, zero turnovers and just one sack in five scrimmages. He completed 18 of 21 passes, but PFF attributed two of those incompletions to fumbles and one to a quarterback hit, giving him an adjusted completion rate of 100 percent. Willis faced pressure on 13 of his 27 dropbacks but earned 85.7 points under pressure. Thun performed poorly, completing 1 of 4 passes for 8 yards. His interception came on an air pass.
Just look at the statistics
Derrick Henry rushed for 146 yards after first contact, forced six missed tackles and had four rushes of 10 yards or more. Overall, the Ravens rushed for 192 yards after first contact, forced nine missed tackles and had six runs of at least 10 yards. Eight different players missed a tackle against the Packers running game.
