It has been a tumultuous season for Martin O’Neill’s side, with injuries disrupting progress on the pitch and off-field issues causing inconsistency throughout the campaign.
However, there were signs of re-unity at Celtic Park over the weekend, with the Hoops putting up one of their best performances of the season at a crucial stage of the campaign.
Young believes the challenges of recent months are a thing of the past and says the team will put all their energy into trying to win another league title in the final weeks.

After Celtic’s 3-1 victory over Motherwell, Young told the mainstream media in an interview with the Daily Chronicle after the game: “The goal now is to win the title. What happened this season is in the past and I am only focused on the present and the future.”
“For a team to be successful, there have to be obstacles. You don’t get wins easily. It will be difficult at times but if we can achieve our goals this season it will be a huge boost for the team.
“I’m really happy with the result and the performance. You can see the character of the team. It feels like all the hard work we’ve put in has paid off and you can see the path the team wants to take. It’s got to be one game at a time though at this stage of the season.”

Yang added: “It was a very difficult game. It’s good to score two goals, but my priority is for the team and winning. I was lucky to get the chance to score and I’m happy to contribute.”
“But I’m more satisfied with this win. It’s a very important three points after a difficult away game.”

“Motherwell are obviously a very good team. We prepared really well over the past week and I think that contributed to the win. I think it gives me and the team a lot of confidence going into the next game and the rest of the season.”
