The goal of every team in sports is to hit free kicks, but it felt like the Oregon Ducks defense was carrying the load a lot of the time. While there are plenty of good individual talents for the 2025 team, none stand out more than freshman All-American cornerback Brandon Finney Jr.
He’s been limited to the outside all season, and now the Ducks are looking for players with his opposite talent. Four-star cornerback Donte Wright Jr. has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2027 season, but that won’t stop him from keeping his options open and meeting with other schools.

He personally took to social media today to tell the world that he has been confirmed to visit Eugene with Ducks brass in the coming weeks. His arrival means Oregon should have a good chance to pry him away from Georgia.
Wright Jr. has size for the cornerback position at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, but he also has the athleticism to complement that. He is said to be a special athlete with a track and field background, which has become a familiar theme among recent Ducks recruits.
There’s still a long way to go before Wright Jr.’s decision becomes final, but fans should be optimistic that he’ll have serious interest in the school.
