He added, “The Kennedy Center has always been a cultural institution designed to outlast any one administration or individual. Its purpose was to honor culture, not ego. Once it was viewed as a personal brand, irony was inevitable.”
In a BlueSky post, Morton shared a screenshot of the appreciation postal reader. “Imagine being MAGA and realizing that the spotlight at the Trump Kennedy Center is now in the hands of the man who voiced Scott Tenorman. south park,” said one commenter.
Another wrote: “The artwork Mr Morton can accomplish on this site is exciting. It may actually become more popular than the center itself.”
As TV Insider previously reported, the Trump administration claimed the Kennedy Center board’s decision to rename the center was unanimous, but board member Joyce Beatty, a Democratic representative representing Ohio, said she remained silent on the call. According to the “Capitol Hill” report, Beatty has filed a lawsuit over the name change, claiming that the name change is illegal without congressional approval.
