Nvidia’s Huang says AI will create jobs, not cut them

Story: :: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says artificial intelligence will create more jobs, not eliminate them:: San Jose, CA / March 17, 2026“A lot of people say artificial intelligence is coming and we’re going to lose our jobs, our jobs. The opposite is true. The truth is PCs make us busier. The internet makes us busier, mobile devices make us super busy.”“We’re short of millions of truck drivers. We’re short of tens of millions of manufacturing workers. Employment is very high, but many companies don’t have enough labor, and most companies don’t have enough labor. Robots will fill that gap, number one. All of our countries’ economies will grow as a result of filling that gap. When the economy grows, most companies tend to hire more people. They hire more people, to manage more robots. Hire more people to manage more agents.”:: Huang also pledged support for Nvidia teams in Israel and Taiwan“We have 6,000 families in Israel and I worry about them. I know they worry about themselves. I am 100% committed to Israel, we will be there for a long time, 100% of our employees are there and they have 100% of our love and support. The same is 100% true in Taiwan. We have thousands of employees there. They have been there for a long time. Huang said artificial intelligence systems, including autonomous agents, will require human oversight and management, ultimately driving hiring rather than reducing it.Jensen Huang described a future in which Nvidia employees will continuously work alongside millions of artificial intelligence agents.Huang also addressed geopolitical issues affecting Nvidia’s global workforce, particularly in Israel and Taiwan.During the Q&A session, Huang also received the 2026 MotorTrend Person of the Year Award, an honor previously awarded to Elon Musk.
