Arizona authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating Savannah Guthrie’s elderly mother.

Nancy Gutherie went missing on Saturday, January 31, and on Monday, February 2, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) launched an emergency search for her. The 84-year-old “vulnerable adult” was last seen at her residence near East Skyline Avenue and North Campbell Avenue around 9:30 p.m. local time.

PCSD describes 84-year-old Nancy as a woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. It is unclear what she was wearing when she disappeared.

At a press conference on Sunday, Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed that a search and rescue mission was underway and that the scene at Nancy’s home was concerning.

In the search for Nancy, authorities used planes, drones and helicopters. The possibility of foul play has not been ruled out and homicide detectives are reportedly involved in the investigation.

“The family is grateful for our outreach, thoughts and prayers,” the spokesperson concluded.

Savannah Guthrie has yet to speak publicly about her mother’s disappearance.
