PROVO, Utah (AP) — Themus Fulks had 24 points and 11 assists, Jordan Burks also scored 24 points and UCF made 14 of 24 3-pointers to beat No. 19 BYU 97-84 on Tuesday night.
JaMychal Stillwell had 12 points, 12 rebounds and six assists as the Cavaliers (20-7, 9-6 Big 12) outscored the Cougars 44-34 in the paint and shot 56 percent from the field, including 58 percent from 3-point range, for their first win over the Cougars.

AJ Dybantsa led BYU with 29 points and eight rebounds. Robert Wright III scored 20 points on 7-for-21 shooting, and Alexei Kostic came off the bench to score 14 points. The Cougars (20-8, 8-7) shot 41 percent from the field and trailed all the way.
UCF came out firing on all cylinders on offense and didn’t let up. Before halftime, the Cavaliers made 11 of 16 three-pointers and shot 57% from the field.
Burks hit three corner 3-pointers in four possessions to start an 18-4 run that gave UCF a 23-8 lead. Four of the Cavaliers’ first nine field goals were transition shots, including two from deep by Burks, and they made nine of 11 total field goals.
Things didn’t get much better for BYU as the first half progressed. UCF outscored the Cougars 25-10 in the final 9 minutes and 21 seconds of the quarter to lead 52-28 at halftime. Fulks made four field goals in three minutes to help the Cavaliers set a season high in halftime scoring.

At the beginning of the second quarter, John Bol made three consecutive baskets, and UCF went on a 12-0 spurt to take its largest lead at 64-28.
