NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tyler Tanner scored 24 points and No. 18 Vanderbilt had a late scare to beat Mississippi 71-68 on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.

The game was originally scheduled to be held in Oxford, Mississippi, but the university has closed campus until February 8 due to severe winter weather this week. Mississippi State and Vanderbilt have swapped home games, with the Commodores traveling to Oxford on March 4.
