Nikola Vucevic on facing Chicago Bulls with Boston Celtics for the first time

When the Boston Celtics defeated the Chicago Bulls 124-105 at TD Garden, it wasn’t just Anfernee Simons who faced his former team. The former Boston backup guard and former Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic came up with an unusually quick shot in a revenge game.

Unlike Simmons, who only scored 7 points in his first game against the Celtics, Watch did have a bit of revenge in this victory, scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. The Montenegrin center discussed the energy he experienced against Chicago for the first time since the Orlando Magic game, saying, “I was there for five years. I built a lot of good relationships with a lot of people in the organization.”

“I spent this time with a lot of players, some were traded, some were injured,” the now-Celtics center added.

“It’s a weird feeling because I was just a part of that team and now I’m here and it all happened so fast,” Vucevic said. “It’s great to see all these guys, there’s a lot of great people in this organization. Even when basketball is over, I’m going to have a lot of relationships for the rest of my life.”

“So, it’s great to see them. It’s fun to win so they can talk some trash. So, yeah, it’s great to see them and I’m excited to have the opportunity to see them.”
