It’s been an exciting 24 hours for Denver Broncos fans.
On the bright side, they saw their favorite team beat the Buffalo Bills in overtime on Saturday to clinch a spot in the AFC Championship Game. With this win, the Broncos will host the New England Patriots in next week’s AFC Championship Game

However, on the other hand, there is news that starting quarterback Bo Nix will miss that game. The second-year quarterback fractured his right ankle on Denver’s last-ditch overtime play and will undergo surgery on Tuesday rather than begin preparations for the AFC Championship Game. That means Jarrett Stidham — who was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft and hasn’t attempted a regular-season pass since 2023 — will start next Sunday.
Broncos fans are now getting some advice from an unlikely source, but it might be the best advice of all.
Nick Foles.
After all, Foles would know. After taking over for the injured Carson Wentz late in the 2017 NFL regular season, he led the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl victory over Tom Brady’s New England Patriots.

He also earned MVP honors in that game.
Broncos fans can now only hope that second time is the charm.
