NFL world reacts to Bears picking Zavion Thomas in 2026 NFL Draft

With the final selection on day two of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears struck again with the second pick of the third round. After using an earlier pick in the round to select tight end Sam Roush, Chicago selected wide receiver Zavion Thomas, a pure speed threat out of LSU to add another weapon to the offense.

Thomas’ selection was a bit of a surprise, as Chicago bypassed their trench needs on the offensive and defensive lines but adds another playmaker to head coach Ben Johnson’s arsenal. After trading veteran wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills and losing multiple free agent receivers this offseason, Chicago added Thomas, who could also be a special teams threat and gadget player in his rookie season.
