Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. The NFL invites you to start your celebrations today with some NFL action.
As we’ve done over the past few seasons, our staff will be making weekly predictions for every game on the NFL schedule. Every Pride of Detroit staff member selects a moneyline (winner of the game, no handicaps), but some members also select odds and even over/under lines – there’s an easy-to-use toggle button in the widget below to cycle through the settings, so check out our track record as you make your selections over the coming week. You can also check out all the odds for this week’s games from FanDuel Sportsbook.

Netflix is the host of Christmas Day NFL games, which begin at 1 p.m. ET when the Washington Commanders (4-11) host the Dallas Cowboys (6-8-1) in the first of three divisional games. Next up is an NFC North showdown between two teams that look very different than they were at this time a year ago: The Detroit Lions (8-7) travel across Lake Michigan to take on the Minnesota Vikings (7-8). If you’re a local viewer, remember that the game is also available on CBS. The final installment in the holiday trilogy is Thursday Night Football’s move to Amazon Prime Video. The Denver Broncos (12-3), fresh off their first loss in months, will face the Kansas City Chiefs (6-9), a team that was just eliminated from playoff contention for the first time in more than a decade.
At this point in the season, all teams have had their bye weeks, but this weekend we have more games on Saturday, so the NFL plans to hold 10 games on Sunday.
The action kicks off on Saturday as the Houston Texans (10-5) take on another AFC contender: the Los Angeles Chargers (11-4) on the road at 4:30 pm ET on the NFL Network. A later game will be of interest to Lions fans hoping their team can keep their playoff hopes alive: The Green Bay Packers (9-5-1) host the Baltimore Ravens (7-8) at Peacock Terrace at 8 p.m.
Your football weekend continues on Sunday. Local Detroit viewers will have a variety of options during the 1 p.m. time slot. On CBS, residents from the great state of Michigan will take part in two games: Metro Detroit will see the Seattle Seahawks (12-3) take on the Carolina Panthers (8-7), and elsewhere in Michigan the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7) take on the Cleveland Browns (3-12). During the same time slot on Fox, the Jacksonville Jaguars (11-4) looked to win the AFC South title by defeating the shaky Indianapolis Colts (8-7). In the late window, FOX has the only game in the country: the Buffalo Bills (11-4) host the Philadelphia Eagles (10-5), with their game starting at 4:25 PM ET.
