The divisional round of the 2025-26 NFL playoffs concluded Sunday night with two huge games.
First, the Houston Texans will travel to Foxborough to try to defeat the New England Patriots. Both teams represent a potential changing of the guard in the AFC, as the conference’s regular contenders — Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Bengals — have exited the tournament. The Patriots are coming off a strong performance in Mike Vrabel’s first year, while the Texans have been slowly climbing up the rankings over the past few seasons. However, while the Patriots have built a dynasty in the not-too-distant past, the Texans have never even made it to the AFC Championship Game. History could be made when the two teams kick off Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

After that, I have a feeling more Detroit Lions fans will be paying attention to the second half of the doubleheader. The Chicago Bears will host the Los Angeles Rams in a game that will determine the second half of the NFC Championship Game against the Seattle Seahawks. Whether you hate the Chicago Bears or Matthew Stafford, there’s plenty of deep-seated interest among Lions fans. So will viewers hate watching it on Sunday night at 6:30 ET?
