Last Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills was an embarrassment for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and now we can add insult to injury with the loss. The NFL fined Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward $11,593 on Saturday for taunting Bills quarterback Josh Allen last week.
The entire exchange was fairly tame, but officials felt Hayward should be tagged for the game in addition to the league fining him. Allen and the Bills offense were on top of the Steelers defense, and you could see players like Heyward showing frustration for much of the second half.
Hayward is in the midst of one of his worst NFL seasons. The same goes for much of the Steelers defense. The team is currently 6-6 and the most expensive defense in the league is giving up a ton of yards every game.
