The Nebraska men’s basketball team (9-0) faces another test of the season on Sunday against in-state rival Clayton (5-4). The Huskers defeated the Bluejays 71-50, notching a win for the second straight year.
That puts Nebraska on a 13-game winning streak dating back to last season, the fifth time in school history that the Huskers have accomplished that feat.

Nebraska set the tone early, opening the game with a 15-2 run in the first eight minutes. The Huskers continued to put pressure on Creighton from there, never letting their lead shrink to more than six points, even extending their lead to 27 points.
Nebraska played very efficiently, shooting 24 of 55 from the field, 10 of 27 from three-point range, and 13 of 20 from the free throw line. The Blue Jays, meanwhile, shot 16 of 52 from the field, 8 of 33 from beyond the arc and 10 of 17 from the free throw line.
Rienke Master scored 20 points on 6-for-12 shooting, 3-for-5 from 3-point range, and 5-for-5 from the free throw line to lead the Huskers to victory. He also grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 2 assists. Sam Hoiberg shot 6 of 10 from the field that day, 2 of 4 from beyond the three-point line, and 1 of 3 from the free throw line, scoring 15 points and dishing out a team-high 5 assists.
Price Sandford scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting and grabbed 7 rebounds. Berke Büyüktuncel led the Huskers in rebounding with 13 in the win.

Nebraska will continue to be tested in its next two games as its first two conference opponents come to Lincoln: Wisconsin and Illinois. The Huskers will face the Badgers on Wednesday night. Game time on the Big Ten Network is set for 8 p.m.
