The Chicago Bulls are off to a slow start to the season, with speculation mounting about the availability of their veteran players.

One of those players is guard Coby White, who NBA reporter Evan Sidery believes may be included in the trade list.

White is having the best season of his seven-year career so far. He averaged 21.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. He shot 44% from the field and 28.6% from three-point range.

Recurrent calf issues have limited White to 11 games this season. He missed the Bulls’ first 11 games with a right calf strain and has been in and out of the lineup recently with a left calf strain.

White was selected by Chicago with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and has started 234 games with the Bulls. He averaged 15.3 points and 3.9 assists per game and shot 36.7% from three-point range in his career.

White could be viewed as an attractive loan option for a competitive team. He signed a contract worth $12.5 million and will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. If the Bulls don’t want to re-sign him, they could consider trading him for value.

Chicago’s front office may see the writing on the wall for the team’s future and decide to move in a younger direction. Other Bulls mentioned in trade rumors include Nikola Vucevic, Ayo Dosunmu, Patrick Williams and Kevin Huerter.

After starting 6-1, Chicago fell to 12-15. Bulls 10th The Eastern Conference leads the playoffs by 1.5 games.
