Gates to Naval Air Station Pensacola and Corey Station are closed, according to social media posts.
Naval Air Station Pensacola said in an X post that its gates, as well as the Corey Station Annex, were closed. Although the press release did not provide any information as to why the gate was closed, social media and local residents claimed the base had been cordoned off.
Residents living near Corey Station, a cyberwarfare training site at Naval Air Station Pensacola, reported hearing an alarm blaring from a loudspeaker that the device could be a “potential threat,” and users on Facebook claimed they heard loudspeakers in two areas of the base saying the device had been blocked.
